Well-connected
Te Atatu, meaning “the dawn” was named for the vista of the morning sun shimmering on the Waitemata. Naturally, McLeod Quarter is encircled by Auckland’s waters, nestled between the inner harbour and Henderson Creek with the Whau River gently lapping its doorstep.
For city commuters, Central Auckland is easily accessible via the Northwestern Cycleway and the Motorway.
The new Te Whau Pathway, will provide a coastal cycle route from McLeod Park (just a couple of hundred meters away), through to New Lynn and the transport connections to Auckland City Centre.
Leisure activities are plentiful, key shopping destinations WestCity and Westgate are just down the road, along with Titirangi’s galleries and cafes. When it’s time to get back to nature The Waitakere ranges and wild west coast beaches are just further afield.
With a thriving community centre driving local connection, Te Atatu is an up-and-coming area with much in its favour. The natural world is close by, with the two largest parks in the area both walking distance away (one shares our street), and Henderson Valley Scenic Reserve less than 20 mins drive.
Schooling options are plentiful in proximity, with more than a dozen, ranging from primary to secondary, under 10 minutes drive.
